I'm Becky Strayer, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Supervisor, and Owner of Strayer Counseling, LLC. I specialize in working with individuals and families who are going through grief and loss, end-of-life care, and mental distress caused by anxiety, life transitions, and low self-esteem.

I am a certified advanced grief counseling specialist, and am trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). I have years of experience working at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital in psychiatric residential and the Emergency Department, as well as in adult and adolescent partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, community, school-based, and private practice settings.

Therapy can feel intimidating, and I aim to create a safe and comfortable environment for my clients. I believe that anyone can benefit from therapy when they feel ready to and find the right person to talk with. I strive to be genuine and meet my clients where they are so that I can be that right person for you. I look forward to meeting with you!

I'm Charla Shellenberger, and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor. I specialize in working with clients who are seeking treatment for anxiety, trauma, depression, life transitions, grief, and low self-esteem. I have worked professionally and personally with children, adolescents, and individuals with substance use disorders. I am not limited to these populations and am eager to provide support and encouragement to all walks of life.

I use humanistic and person-centered approaches. I believe therapy should be a place where you can be your most authentic self and do my best to provide a safe, accepting environment to nurture this. My hope is that the work we do together allows you to bring insight and compassion to your own life story. You are the expert of your life and I want to empower you to be engaged in your treatment.

Mental health is imperative to our overall health, and I look forward to helping you begin your personal healing journey.
